Canadian Environment Week

Canadian Environment week is May 31 - June 6.  It is the perfect opportunity for everyone to learn about how to make our planet a cleaner and healthier place to live.

In the spirit of a greener environment, BookSwap is proud to of planted 275 trees last month in the Claireville Conservation area in Toronto.   Each year we honour our top customers with the Tree Planting program, and we thank you for your ongoing support. To date, we have planted over 1275 trees!

There are many simple ways we can 'ALL' take action for a better planet such as:

  • Using window coverings to help warm or cool our homes.
  • Avoiding waste by using reusable cloths instead of paper towels to clean.
  • Buying locally grown produce. It has a lower associated pollution cost from transportation.
  • Installing water saving showerheads.

For information on how you and your students can participate in Canadian Environment Week, please visit the Environment Canada Web site.
